Wow, is this woman STILL alive. I can remember her platinum white hair,
white eye shadow and white lipstick from my days with Love Boat and Here
Comes the Brides.

Sheeeit, I hope I look as good as her when I'm close to 80, 85. Although
that album picture is definitely Joey from the 1950s, early 60s at the
latest.

Joey was my first love............her and Jodi Voller from 7th
grade............

Unfortunately that pic is hardly representative of her current appearance.
A while back she was making the rounds here in Vegas trying to get something
resembling a career going. She was pitching the idea of an old fashioned,
semi-permanent showroom gig to the lower level hotels, and was giving
interviews to the local TV stations in an attempt to pump up some interest.

I was shocked, appalled, crushed, to see what she looked like. Years and
years of alcoholism, hardcore drug addiction, and an endless string of
mental breakdowns and hospitalizations have taken their toll on poor old
Joey. She looks more like Mother Theresa than she does the flaming hot sex
kitten I fell in love with on Route 66 and Dean Martin.

She was unsuccessful in her attempt at revitalizing her career with a Vegas
gig, and left town after a couple of months. Some bits in the local gossip
column claimed she returned to some Svengali type boyfriend in LA who leans
to the "substance abuse" side of life.

And we never even kissed.............but I still luv ya Joey!
